1. What we collect

We collect the following information when you use LoveUAD:

• Account information — your name and email address when you sign in with Google.
• Location data — if the parent user enables location sharing, we collect GPS coordinates to monitor proximity to their home zone.
• Health-related data — medication names and schedules entered by the child user to set up reminders.
• Documents — photos of prescriptions and bills uploaded by the parent user for extraction and storage.
• Voice messages — audio recordings made by the parent user, stored as transcripts.
• Check-in data — timestamps of daily check-ins made by the parent user.
• Device data — push notification tokens to deliver alerts.

2. How we use your data

• To provide the core service — connecting elderly parents with their UK-based children.
• To send push notifications for check-ins, SOS alerts, and medication reminders.
• To store and display documents, voice messages, and location history to authorised family members only.
• To process subscription payments via the App Store or Google Play.

3. Who we share data with

We do not sell your data. We share it only with:

• Supabase — our database and authentication provider (data stored in the EU).
• Google — for sign-in via Google OAuth.
• Apple / Google — for in-app subscription billing.

4. Data retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. When you delete your account, all personal data including location history, documents, voice memos, and medication records is permanently deleted within 24 hours.

5. Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, email us at kanchan.g12@gmail.com.

6. Children

LoveUAD is not intended for use by children under 13. We do not knowingly collect data from children.

7. Location data

Location tracking is entirely optional and requires explicit consent from the parent user before it is enabled. Location data is only visible to the linked child account and is never shared with third parties.

8. Security

All data is transmitted over HTTPS. Sensitive credentials (such as Gmail app passwords) are encrypted at rest using AES-256 encryption before storage.
